The first clue is small enough to be dismissed, which is why it survives. People protect themselves from horror by calling it a glitch, a coincidence, a filing mistake, a trick of weather or exhaustion. In this episode, He Qing is not simply following hidden crash survivors; He Qing is learning the local grammar of a mountain town erased from official maps. The grammar is made of black-box audio, boarding announcements, room numbers, survivor keepsakes. Each detail seems harmless by itself, but together they create a sentence nobody wanted spoken aloud.
