S04E01: Midnight Signal

The first clue is small enough to be dismissed, which is why it survives. People protect themselves from horror by calling it a glitch, a coincidence, a filing mistake, a trick of weather or exhaustion. In this episode, Lin Lan is not simply following radio evidence on a haunted coast; Lin Lan is learning the local grammar of Wushi Lighthouse, sea caves, and the storm channel. The grammar is made of salt static, reversed broadcasts, foghorns, wet stone, missing names. Each detail seems harmless by itself, but together they create a sentence nobody wanted spoken aloud.
