S07E06: The Ninth Seat
The first clue is small enough to be dismissed, which is why it survives. People protect themselves from horror by calling it a glitch, a coincidence, a filing mistake, a trick of weather or exhaustion. In this episode, Lu Chen is not simply following time-loop train of guilt; Lu Chen is learning the local grammar of Line 7 after the depot lights shut down. The grammar is made of dispatch static, empty platforms, unnumbered routes, passenger tickets. Each detail seems harmless by itself, but together they create a sentence nobody wanted spoken aloud. The line that stays in the air is: "The first minutes of "The Ninth Seat" do not move quickly because the case itself refuses to move quickly.
